5 inch gauge "Sweet Pea" with new commercial CE-marked boiler

A 5 inch gauge "Sweet Pea" 0-4-2ST, comprising a well-advanced rolling chassis with cylinders, motion work, pump eccentric, reverser stand, brakes, die block slides and drain cock linkage.

It turns over fairly stiffly although without tight spots - we suspect more a case of years of storage without oil rather than a quartering/rod length issue.

Work is fairly pedestrian, with several of the parts left as they came off the machine - a few hours with files and emery cloth would improve things considerably.

The connecting and coupling rods both, curiously, have holes in them - possibly to fasten them down to a fixture for machining - which could easily be plugged.

The CE-marked silver soldered boiler was supplied by Blackgates Engineering; a beautifully made thing, still wrapped up and complete with manufacturer's documentation.
