5 inch LSWR Adams Radial 4-4-2T

A well-advanced 5 inch gauge Adams Radial 4-4-2T, an elegant design for the London, South Western Railway.

Work to date comprises an air-running chassis complete with axle pump and front bogie; a silver soldered copper boiler with club hydraulic certificate expiring June 2026.

The boiler appears well made with neat flanging and good solder penetration. The backhead has distorted slightly during build causing the regulator boss to take a slight downward slant - whilst the copper is still soft we suspect this could be gently levered back into place.
