5 inch narrow gauge 2-6-0 tender locomotive

A 5 inch narrow gauge 2-6-0, conceived and started by Bob Smith of Comrie Railroad fame before being passed on to the man who completed it, a long time customer of ours - it recently came to us in part exchange for something smaller.

It's a large, well proportioned engine, over six feet with its bogie tender. Fitted with Southern valve gear - not something we see very often - it's free-steaming and runs particularly well. There's a clip of it running outside the works here.

We're rather taken with this one - it's a well sorted engine, similar in size, weight and style to Don Young's Edaville #7 although running on 5 inch gauge track.
