5 inch narrow gauge EM Baldwin battery-electric

A 5 inch narrow gauge Baldwin EM battery electric, a commercially built locomotive supplied by Maxitrak and remaining in as-new condition.

Powered by eight 60W motors - four per bogie - with a 4QD controller, it makes for a powerful locomotive which can, at the end of a day's running, be broken down quickly into its easily handled component parts.

Rated by the makers as capable of pulling eight adults on level track at 6mph, with an 8mph top speed. The bogie chassis allows negotiation of 8 foot radius curves, allowing operation on the tightest of garden layouts.

Supplied tested and ready to run, complete with a pair of batteries, handset controller and original manufacturer's documentation.
