6 inch scale Foden steam wagon castings, commercial boiler

A commercially-built boiler, castings and material for a 6 inch scale Foden steam wagon.

Bought new nearly twenty years ago, business commitments kept the owner from working on this one - they've remained stored in his workshop ever since.

The castings were supplied by another Foden builder, cast from his own patterns - a highly experienced engineer, he'd previously built a superb Baldwin C19 which we sold back in 2013, his Foden at that time well-advanced in the workshop.

The CE-marked boiler is by Bell Boilers, supplied new in 2006 and complete with manufacturer's documentation.

Castings and boiler weight best part of three quarters of a ton between them, the chassis is just under eleven feet long.
