7 1/4 inch gauge 14XX chassis and wheel castings

An early stage 7 1/4 inch gauge GWR 14XX to Martin Evans' "Dart" design. Work to date is to a good standard and comprises:

• Erected frames and horns
• Trailing axleboxes machined and fitted
• Unmachined driving wheel castings
• Machined trailing wheels
• Set of drawings, album of photographs and construction articles
• Machined axles, including components for crank axle

Remaining parts and castings are available from Reeves, a wide variety of profiled platework for cab, bunker, tanks, running boards etc are available from Model Engineers Laser.

Some parts with have suffered from minor surface rust which cleans off easily with Scotchbrite.

We've recently sold a super example of one of these, pictures in the archive here if you need some inspiration to get into the workshop. For those with less time available, we've another complete, running 14XX just arrived.
