7 1/4 inch gauge "Bridget" 0-4-2T

A well made "Bridget" to Ken Swan's popular design - this engine was built in the 1990s but remained unsteamed since completion. It's been through the workshop here, requiring only minor work to commission for its steam test - we were impressed with this one. It's a particularly nicely made chassis, the engine runs very quietly - there's some video here.

Silver soldered copper boiler by Swindon Boilers, 90psi working pressure. Three element radiant superheater. Feed by axle pump and injector with auxiliary hand pump. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaerts gear, pole reverser in the cab. Mechanical lubricator.

Nicely detailed and finely finished, the engine is in pretty much ex-works condition with a single steaming under its wheels. In this gauge "Bridget" makes an easy to handle locomotive, the weight and size allowing it to be transported in a hatchback car if required.

Complete with a large quantity of drawings.
