7 1/4 inch gauge "Holmside" 0-6-0ST

A well-built 7 1/4 inch gauge Coal Board 0-6-0T to Martin Evans' powerful, popular "Holmside" design.

The commercially built CE-marked boiler by Blackgates Engineering has had hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued.

On test the engine proved free-steaming and ran well in either direction, the axle pump keeping up with the demands of the boiler.

Done to a good standard originally, the paintwork remains in good, bright condition with minor wear consistent with normal use.
