7 1/4 inch narrow gauge Hunslet 0-4-0ST with tender

A 7 1/4 inch gauge Quarry Hunslet to Alan Ruston's 3 inch scale "Elidir" design. This one has come to us as part of a collection of locomotives and rolling stock from the family of the late owner.

The boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test which showed up a steady drip of water from beneath the cladding. Re-tested with the cladding removed revealed a persistent leak from the top of the barrel, where an attempt has been made to blank off what we suspect were two holes for a regulator mounting bracket with soft solder.

The engine runs on air in either direction, one flycrank is loose on the axle and will require fixing and re-pinning. There is a brake stand but no rigging or brake shoes.

Complete with a rather crudely made tender, fitted with an electric boiler feed pump.
