7 1/4 inch gauge Kerr, Stuart 0-4-2ST "Edward Thomas"

A finely built 7 1/4 inch gauge "Edward Thomas", a Kerr Stuart "Tattoo" class locomotive built in 1921 for the Corris Railway - since 1951 it's run on the Talyllyn Railway.

We last sold this one back in 2018 - at that time a complete chassis which ran like a sewing machine on air (there's a short clip taken by the builder here) along with various pieces of platework and castings and a beautifully made CE-marked silver soldered copper boiler is by Western Steam.

It's recently come back with some additional good quality work, including a welded stainless steel saddle tank and a smokebox assembly, complete with chimney.

Picture opposite are mainly from 2018, with additional pictures of tank and smokebox taken recently.
