7 1/4 inch narrow gauge petrol hydraulic shunter

A 7 1/4 inch narrow gauge petrol hydraulic locomotive, this one has come to us part of a large collection of locomotives and rolling stock from a private railway.

The work of an experienced engineer, responsible for much of the railway's rolling stock and a Bagnall 0-4-0ST, the locomotive is powered by a single cylinder four stroke engine driving through a hydrostatic gearbox.

Robustly built and well-proportioned, there's a footwell for the driver in front of the rear-mounted seat.

Smartly turned out, the paintwork remains in excellent condition.
