7 1/4 inch narrow gauge petrol-hydraulic shunter

A well-advanced 7 1/4 inch narrow gauge petrol hydraulic shunter, substantially built on 10mm steel plate frames.

The steel wheelsets run in sealed takeup bearings, with rubber block suspension.

Fitted with a new 5hp electric start engine coupled by chain to an Eaton hydrostatic transmission; drive is to both axles by chain and taperlock pulleys.

Well conceived and executed, we like the robustly engineered forward/reverse and dump pin linkages for the transmission.
