Pictures opposite and words below from last year, the engine is in the same condition now. Boiler has had a new hydraulic test, valid through to 2023, it will have a steam test before delivery.
A well-built 7 1/4 inch gauge "Sweet William" 0-4-2ST with Blackgates all steel tender.
Completed in 2013, it's been kept in good condition. Paintwork comes up well, it steams freely and runs well up and down our test track here.
The commercially built, CE-marked boiler is by the estimable Tony Baldwin of AJB Engineering, welded steel with expanded tubes.
The engine is fitted with vacuum brake equipment, piped through the tender.
