7 1/4 inch narrow gauge Waldenburg 0-6-0T with bogie driving truck

A finely-made, well-detailed 7 1/ 4 inch gauge "Waldenburg" 0-6-0T, commercially built as one of a batch of four in the 1990s by Ray Hammond of Basingstoke - we sold another engine from the same batch back in 2019.

The engine has come to us from a large collection where it ran on an extensive garden railway in the company of several other fine narrow gauge locomotives, including a Bagnall - the first one built to the MJ Engineering design - and the magnificent Lynton & Barnstaple "Yeo" which we currently have in stock.

The commercially-built silver soldered copper boiler by Bishop-Ellis has had recent hydraulic and steam tests in our workshop, with certification issued for same.

The engine appears to have had little use from new, and we understand none in the last eight years. In excellent mechanical condition, paintwork is very good, with some light wear commensurate with use over the years.

A large engine weighing in at just over a quarter of a ton. Easy to drive, it steams freely and runs beautifully - there's some video of it here.

Complete with a bogie driving truck, supplied new with the engine and modelled on a narrow gauge plank wagon.

Supplied with starter kit of coal and steam oil, firing irons and 12 months warranty.
