Compound launch engine

A finely made compound launch engine, apparently of freelance design although a carefully observed model, made by a builder obviously familiar with the full-size engines.

Fit and finish of machined parts is excellent, the engine has been well painted and mounted on an attractive hardwood base.

Whilst it turns over, there's a tight spot at bottom dead centre on the high pressure side which will require rectification before it can be run.

This one would be a worthwhile project - an attractive size, it's one of the nicest engines of this type we've seen,
