Fairbairn's column engine

A finely made model of Fairbairn's column engine, built by an experienced engineer with many stationary engines and several excellent clocks to his credit. The original engines were built from the 1850s by William Fairbairn & Company of Manchester.

Parts and castings for the model were supplied by Cotswold Heritage who produce a wide range of technically interesting and finely detailed designs - highly regarded, they are available as castings or ready to run engines in limited editions.

Work is to a high standard throughout, the engine is complete with finely detailed governor, mounted on a polished wooden base under a well-proportioned glass case.
