Full size compound vertical engine

A full-size compound vertical engine, weighing in at nearly three-quarters of a ton and mounted for display, with motor and gearbox to turn it over at a slow tickover.

Largely complete, it could be returned to working order if required - the two governor valves have been sectioned and valve chest and cylinder top covers are missing; the rest of the engine is present and in good condition.

Beautifully made, the motionwork all machined from the solid and finely profiled, one cylinder is fitted with double slide-valve, Meyer expansion gear.

We're taken with this one - technically interesting, it's a handsome engine that has been sympathetically converted for display running. It would make a striking display piece, the engine is near-silent when running.
