Compound launch engine with reversing gear

A compound launch engine, this came to us as part of a large collection from the estate of an SBA member which included several launch engines and a launch which we sold at the end of last year.

Rather grubby and with a fairly disreputable paint job, the engine nonetheless turns over freely and runs on air in either direction.

A worthwhile restoration job, it would power a large launch or alternatively provide motive power for a variety of interesting rail or road-based projects!
