Large old dismantled V-twin engine

Bit of a mystery engine this one (although possibly less so if you ignore the tailstock centre which sneaked into the pictures by accident).

A large old stationary engine, appears to have been a V-twin, possibly for wall or bulkhead mounting. Cylinder/valve chest proportions, fish-bellied eccentric rods and fastenings used look more nineteenth century than twentieth. A small "real" engine rather than a model, we would be interested to know a bit more about it.
