Likamobile steam car

A Steam Traction World Lykamobile steam car, it's come to us from the family of the late builder. The story goes it was ordered as a complete set of kits, less boiler - possibly because the builder was intending to fit a more prototypical boiler, similar to the one used in the latest design.

We've laid everything out and, as far as we can see there is most of a car here, excluding kits 8, 16 & 17 (boiler deposits and boiler), and 18 & 18A (cladding & exhaust and burner tray). There are no batteries (a Likamobile normally has two) or inverter (to step up the battery voltage to 240V for the burner) - these are not listed as part of the kits, but easily available elsewhere.

We've had half a dozen of these through our hands over the years, we rate them as maximum fun with minimum mess as far as a steam engine goes! Their party piece is to raise steam from all cold in under ten minutes, they go very well. If you need some inspiration to put this one together, there are some pictures and video of a good one in the archive here.
