Lister D

A venerable example of the iconic Lister D - introduced in 1926, by the time production ended in 1964 Lister had sold over a quarter of a million engines which found applications worldwide driving a variety of farm machinery.

Dating from 1943, this engine has come to us from a long time customer whose family have owned it for many years. An older restoration, paintwork is bright, the magneto produces a good spark and the engine starts easily, with good compression.

The trolley is basic and mounted on castors rather lightweight for the job - some decent iron wheels would anchor the whole thing down more convincingly.
