McOnie oscillating engine

First time we've had one of these in, a finely made model of McOnie's oscillating engine, built to the Cotswold Heritage design and using their castings.

The work of an experienced model engineer whose other work included a good Stuart triple expansion engine and a Burrell Gold Medal Showmans tractor.

A very elegant design - both aesthetically and technically - the original engines were built by the Glasgow firm of W & A McOnie in the mid nineteenth century.
