Part-built 2 inch scale Clayton wagon c/w boiler

A part-built 2 inch scale Clayton steam wagon, comprising a largely complete engine with lubricator and water pump, chassis with wheels, leaf spring and defferential and a well-made silver soldered copper boiler – although unmarked it looks commercially made, given the quality of flanging and soldering – complete with fittings.

There are sundry loose parts, including castings for sump, chimney base and cap, material for the chimney tube, chain and pair of drive sprockets from Reeves and a water valve.

There is a complete set of drawings in new condition and a set of the "Model Engineer" magazines containing the original construction series.

Steve and I couldn't help ourselves keep looking at the engine and boiler and thinking 5 inch gauge vertical boiler locomotive, but then that's just us!
