Part-built 3 1/2 inch gauge Derby 2P

A 3 1/2 inch gauge Midland 2P. Somebody has made a good start on this one, with some nice quality work already done and including many of the castings required to complete.

Comprises erected frames with horns and axleboxes, buffers, smokebox saddle and axle pump; driving and coupled wheels machined along with crank axle. There is some motionwork and valve gear part-machined.

Platework for the locomotive includes a brass cab and profiled parts for splashers.

Quantity of unmachined castings including cylinder set, dome, chimney, petticoat pipe and smokebox door.

There is a length of copper tube for the boiler barrel, along with 17 flue tubes and a superheater flue.

The tender is largely complete, including brake gear and pipework for injector, hand pump and axle pump feed/return.

Complete with drawings and copies of construction articles.
