Part-built 4 inch scale Burrell SCC agricultural engine

A 4 inch scale Burrell SCC traction engine, being built to the Live Steam Model design and using castings supplied by them. Work to date has largely been commercially done to a high standard and includes:

• Welded steel boiler with expanded tubes by Bell Boilers, CE-marked and complete with all documentation, 160psi working pressure

• Wheels built and fitted with bonded rubber tyres

• Hornplates machined and fitted

• Water pump machined and assembled

• Crankshaft machined and assembled into crankbox

• Complete set of gearing including differential

• Tender

• Belly tank

In addition there is a box of components including connecting rod, part machined eccentric rods, profiled expansion link, part-machined weighshaft bracket, pressure gauge, safety valve chimneys, valve chest cover casting and various other parts.

Complete with a set of drawings and file of the builder's notes.
