Part-built 5 inch gauge GWR 51XX

A part-built GWR large Prairie - we sold this one a few years back when it had a new TIG-welded boiler, the boiler and chassis were split at that time. We originally bought the engine from the builder, his work is to an excellent standard throughout. Since then it's gained a box full of parts - machined commercially we believe - which are of indifferent quality and include the coupling and connecting rods currently fitted. We'd throw all the new stuff away, get back to the original builder's vision and crack on from there - it will make an exceptional example of this handsome design.
