Part-built 5 inch gauge "Maid of Kent"

A part-built 5 inch gauge 4-4-0 to LBSC's "Maid of Kent" design comprising an early stage rolling chassis, a quantity of Joy gear motion work and other sundry castings, plus a largely complete tender.

A nice engine when finished, the 7 inch driving wheels make for a really nice exhaust - there are pictures of various versions of the design, both inside and outside cylindered, including this Midland Compound styled one in the archive.
