Part-built 7 1/4 inch gauge "Jessie"

An early stage 7 1/4 inch gauge 0-4-0ST to Ken Swan's "Jessie" design, sister engine to the popular 0-4-2T "Bridget".

Work to date comprises a chassis, allegedly built by apprentices - machining certainly appears to a good standard, however something has gone awry since assembly as it's now fairly stiff to turn over and hits a hard stop at one point in its rotation.

It requires careful stripping and investigation - not the application of Mole grips as witnessed by marks on one axle...

There are some machined parts, including cast iron cylinders, buffers and various other components.

Silver soldered copper boiler appears well made with good solder penetration, butt strapped boiler joint and complete with club hydraulic test certificate.

Castings and drawings are avalailable from Reeves.
