Red Wing open crank engine

A model of a Red Wing 5hp air cooled engine with hit and miss governor & coil.

We've had several of the hopper-cooled variants over the years, but never seen the air-cooled version. Well made, with a good standard of fit and finish, machined parts are crisply finished. 

It's come to us from the family of the late builder, a shipwright in Wales. Kept on display, the engine has been taken out of storage and run once yearly to keep it in working order; it turns over freely with good compression.
