Sleeve valve engine

Having had one of these engines in recently, when several kind souls told me what it was and how it worked, I wasn't that surprised when another, slightly larger one turned up recently. A rotary valve engine, nicely made and fitted with displacement lubricator, coupled to a spirit-fired boiler - we steamed this one up over Christmas, it goes very well.
