Early Stuart Turner No.8 mill engine

An early Stuart Turner No.8 mill engine, the type with crosshead running on slide bars before, in later engines, a cast trunk guide was introduced making the engine easier to build.

The engine runs well down to slow speed, aided by the heavy flywheel; there is some wear in the main bearings and big end.

Complete with drain cocks.
