Stothert & Pitt beam engine

A part-built Stothert & Pitt beam engine, using the high quality parts and castings supplied by Cotswold Heritage. We had a complete set of these in last year, pictures in the archive.

A good deal of work done to date, main work to complete is provision of eccentric sheave, strap and rod, along with the parallelogram motion.

Pictures show everything we have of the engine. No drawings, although the series of detailed construction articles by Anthony Mount serialised in "Engineering in Miniature" magazine would be a good starting point to complete the model.
