Steeple engine

A Steeple engine, to Anthony Mount's design based on an original engine built in the 1860s.

This one has come to us as part of a small collection of stationary engines built to the highest standards, they are some of the nicest pieces of engineering we've seen in recent times.

Fit and finish is excellent throughout, paintwork is finely done - even the fitted wooden case is something of a work of art.

The engine is silky smooth to turn over and runs, as might be expected, absolutely beautifully on air - there's some video here.
