A handsome design, for many years the 5A has been a favourite for both stationary engine modelers and those wanting an engine to do a serious job of work, from steam boat enthusiasts to steam railcar builders. Stuart rate the oversquare engine as producing 1 1/2 bhp at 800rpm and 100psi working pressure.
