Stuart Double Ten

A Stuart Double Ten vertical engine, in running order although in need of work to bring it up to scratch.

The engine runs on air, although adjustment of the valves and eccentric would improved its low speed performance.

The fabricated crank shows signs of looseness in the joints - it needs stripping apart and reassembling with appropriate grade of Loctite after thorough cleaning.

There is side play in the eccentrics which is unsightly, although unlikely to affect the running.
