Stuart No.1

We sold this to a long-time customer in the Welsh marches back in 2023, a man with good taste in stationary engines, clocks and classic cars. It's recently come back to us, having been on display in the intervening years.

A finely made and well-painted Stuart No.1 vertical engine, the work of an experienced model engineer with several other fine Stuart engines to his credit.

The engine turns over freely and runs well on air.

Complete with a binder containing the Stuart drawings, builder's notes and copies of the Andrew Smith booklet "A Beginner's guide to Building the Stuart No.1 engine".
