Stuart No.9 horizontal mill engine

A Stuart No.9 horizontal mill engine, in our view the most attractive of the Stuart range, conveying much of the character of the nineteenth century prototypes.

The work of an experienced model engineer with a particular interest in stationary engines, the engine is fitted with boiler feed pump, governor, drain cocks and displacement lubricator, the whole thing painted in a flamboyant red enamel and mounted on a faux brick and tile engine room floor base.

The engine turns over freely and runs on air, with some wear apparent in the big end.
