Stuart P5LY

A Stuart Turner P5LY single cylinder two stroke engine which appears virtually at the end of a carefully done restoration job. The engine has been completely stripped, every casting is clean of rust and paint, then reassembled. It turns over with good compression and, other than the magneto chain which has yet to be replaced, looks ready to run.

This engine was produced during the war - many were used to drive generators on boats, the Best & Lloyd oil pump allowed it to run on standard fuel from the boat tanks, mixing petroil as required.
