Stuart steam pump

Well-made example of the rather rare Stuart steam pump, fitted with regulator valve and displacement lubricator.

Note that Stuart recommend a maximum speed of 180 strokes/minute for these pumps, which is easy to maintain when pumping (in fact they seem to pump rather more efficiently when running slowly). I saw one poor pump running like a machine-gun at an exhibition recently!
