Twin Stuart "James Coombes" table engine

Possibly inspired by Stuart Models' "Twin Victoria" design, the builder of this engine decided to double up the "James Coombes", itself a sibling of the Victoria and Stuart beam, sharing their 7 inch flywheel, inch bore cylinder and two inch stroke.

We have to admit we're rather taken with the look of this one (and surprised Stuart themselves haven't come out with something similar!)

This one has come to us from the family of the builder, along with several other engines. It is at a well-advanced state, although only loosely assembled - all joints want tightening and/or furnishing with gaskets, the valves have not yet been set.
