V twin steam boat engine

A large V-twin steam engine, we assume originally intended for a boat. An interesting design, elegantly executed with handsome cast frames and stylish brass "Astern & Ahead" plate.

Incomplete and in need of restoration, the engine is missing crosshead, guidebars and lifting links from one cylinder, although those parts on the other cylinder give patterns for replacement.
