Vertical twin engine

A beautifully made old vertical twin engine - I like everything about this one, the proportions and detailing indicate a builder familiar with the full-size engines.

Cast iron cylinders with drain cocks, single side slipper crossheads with fish-bellied connecting rods and one-piece crankshaft turned from solid.

Eccentric straps are finely shaped, the outboard eccentric drives a boiler feed pump, its sheave keyed to the crankshaft.

Crankshaft runs in three bearings, caps are secured by studs and machined nuts.

Fitted with displacement lubricator and regulator valve.
