Vintage horizontal mill engine with reversing gear

An old horizontal mill engine, of unusual design, fitted with Stephensons reversing gear.

Rather grubby, but underneath is a nicely made engine with split main bearings, elegantly proportioned crankshaft webs and eccentric straps, and gib and cottered big end.
