Vintage horizontal mill engine with reversing gear

A vintage model mill engine, very grubby but nicely made in the first place, mounted on an oak base.

Unusually it's fitted with Stephenson's reversing gear and flywheel brake, worked by a pair handwheels.

The engine turns over freely with remarkably little wear mechanical evident given its age. A worthwhile project, it needs sympathetic restoration.
