Vulcan beam engine

A double-acting rotative beam engine, to Edgar Westbury's "Vulcan" design - serialised in "Model Engineer" magazine from 1954, it is based on a typical Watt type engine of the mid-nineteenth century.

An older engine, it runs well on air down to low speed, with some wear apparent in beam pivot bearings and eccentric strap.
