Westbury "Vulcan" steam plant

A steam plant with "Vulcan" beam engine to the Edgar Westbury design and a vertical multi-tube, gas-fired boiler.

Well made, the fit and finish of machined parts is good, the engine is mounted on a simulated stone "engine room floor" base, with riveted water tank. Boiler feed is by the engine's integral water pump, with bypass valve, there is an auxiliary hand pump in the tank.

The engine runs very nicely down to low speed, the requirement for steam from the boiler easily accommodated by adjustment of the gas burner.

Includes free UK shipping.
